Chris and Nash have finally arrived at the ruins of Sindar. Chris finds that the room that protects the power of the True Water Rune is opened, which means her father has already entered...Meanwhile, the Grasslands camp discovers that Caesar is the younger brother of Albert Silverberg, grandson of Leon Silverberg. Caesar brings his family relation up because he asserts that he's the best guy that understands what Albert is thinking. Caesar points out that the Grasslands are at a disadvantage, and stresses that they need to slow Harmonia's troops from advancing. An idea is brought up to formulate a fake cease fire agreement with Harmonia. Mua and Hallec volunteer to be the messengers. Later, Caesar brings up an idea to flood Duckland. There is great opposition from the other clans, but Caesar indicate that by flooding Duckland, Harmonia would have trouble getting reinforcements and would be incapable of striking. The Lizard clan asks what to do with the refugees, and Caesar proposes that that Grassland and Zexen should form an alliance. Meanwhile, Hugo has been traveling with Joker, Geddoe, Ace, Jack, Aila, and Sana, and they talk about the current situation in Harmonia and Kasal. Kasal is in bad shape, and Hugo is having doubts whether he can truly fit into the shoes of the "Flame Champion." Suddenly, the group is attacked by a monster, and Hugo tries to unleash the power of the True Fire Rune, only he does not remember how. The group is saved by a dragon and the two people riding it. The two riders are Futch and Sharon, who are Dragoons (?). Futch warns the group that there is activity going on in the Grasslands, and that the Chisha clan has been taken over by Harmonia. Geddoe advises half the group to evacuate to Duckland and the rest go to Chisha to see how the situation is. Hugo heads back to the Grasslands by riding the dragon (named Bright). While Hugo is riding with Futch, Futch tells Hugo that they were heading towards Budehuc castle before they saw the fighting flames in Chisha. Futch disclose that the castle is rumored to be a place where the "carriers of flames gather." In another place, Thomas, the castle-owner heads towards the Brass castle because he was summoned by Salome days before. On the same day he received the request to go to the castle, Thomas is also handed a document that states that his father, Sir Roma, has disowned Thomas. Thomas arrives at Brass castle. Salome explains to Thomas that he is no longer the owner of the castle, and at the same time loses his identity because his father denies his paternity. The castle is in the hands of Salome, but Salome brings up a proposition to make Thomas the caretaker of the castle for Salome. Meanwhile, the scene changes to Wyatt and his encounter with the Masked Bishop. The Masked Bishop demands the True Rune be handed over, or be killed. A battle ensues, and Wyatt is eventually defeated. The Masked Bishop pulls out the True Rune out of Wyatt, but right before he obtain it into him, Wyatt uses his last strength to cut the Mask, revealing the Masked Bishop's face. Throughout, Chris frantically runs toward the battle scene to meet her father, but she sees her father lying on the ground. The Masked Bishop is gone, and all is left is Wyatt and the power of the True Rune ready to explode. Chris holds her father's hand, and the mark on the hand transfers over to Chris' hand. With the mark on her hand, Chris obtains the True Rune power. That over, Nash leaves Chris, and Chris is now determined to return to Zexen.
