Very moving
Up Country gives an insider's view of the Vietnam war. Reading this book brought tears to my eyes more that once. Since Nelson DeMille served in Vietnam, it has the ring of truth. The disrespect the veterans received upon their return was heartbreaking. (I thought so at the time and still do.) DeMille captures this agony with incredible skill. Up Country is the most moving book I have ever read. I highly recommend it.
