Don't miss this great fantasy story for preteens in upper grammar school or young teens. My boy and girl grandchildren all loved it & had to read all 5 of the series. One of them is high-functioning autistic & doesn't like reading, but after I read him the first book out loud, he got into the story so much that he read the next 4 books by himself. Nothing is as it seems at first. Great plot, gets better & better as you read. Girl & boy siblings go to spend summer with grandparents they later discover are caretakers for a haven for magical creatures. Continually shows that all actions have consequences, though in a subtle but effective way. Optional thought-provoking questions included after end of book. Fun fantasy series!
Cute characters. Fun story line. Great book for kids and adults. I really enjoyed reading this new fantasy series. Loved it!

WOW
I really enjoyed this book! It is not just a children's book. It was recommended by a friend, I started reading it and my youngest son was looking for a new book to read, so he borrowed it and he didn't want to give it back. Then my other son read it. Needless to say my boys and I ended up fighting over who got to read first...book2, book 3 of the same series, and book 4 which just came out. It has endearing characters and it is very wholesome so it is safe for younger readers. I highly recommend it.

BEST BOOK EVER!
THIS BOOK WAS SOOO GOOD..I LOVED IT SO MUCH. ITS BOOK YOU COULD READ OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND NOT GET TIRED OF IT. THEY SHOULD MKE MOVIE ABOUT IT!... THE 2ND BOOK IS REALLY GOOD TOO..I HAVENT GOTTEN CHANCE TO READ THE 3RD BOOK YET BUT I KNOW IT WILL GREAT!!

This was a fun book to read! It was easy to read and kept me captivated with what will happen next. The descriptions of characters were vivid. I couldn't put it down!
