The God of the Bible is supernatural and can only be known supernaturally. The God of the Bible is spirit and can only be known spiritually. But man, by nature, is neither supernatural nor spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:14). Consequently, the Bible tells us that God can only be known by those to whom He makes himself known, "no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." (Matthew 11:27).
