First, let's talk about that question that never tires in the curiosity of a two year old. It's probably the question we asked the most as a child. "WHY?" I know it's the one question I remember constantly answering for my children. I was never the mom that minded the questions. I always answered as best I could. Eventually, we stop asking why though..... "Because I said so." "Stop asking that." "Quit with the why's." "Curiosity killed the cat." And we're conditioned to stop wondering and asking, as if it's not good for us or rude. I've found in my journey of entrepreneurship that this question, "Why?" has been the most important, informative and revealing question I can ask myself. It's the question I ask when I get on discovery calls with my clients. It's what I ask my clients to feel into so they can get grounded. In fact, I like the question, "Why not?" quite a lot as well. As you're reading this book, it would be good to have a journal by your side for notes, completing assignments and whatever thoughts come to you. Jot down what hits you. Write out the answers to the questions throughout the chapters. Do the little assignments. Get your mind thinking about all your why's. The reason I set this book up to be a journaling exercise is because I've found out so many deep things about myself and my entrepreneurial journey, along with the reasons behind my blocks through journaling. Writing things out on paper gets that subconscious conversation going and you can really dive deep into what's holding you back. If you want to get the most out of this book, journal.
