I discovered the "Patty" books when I was about 10. They were given to me by a friend of the family who heard what an avid reader I was. I fell in love with them. Stories about a young girl about the same age as I was. The stories take place around the turn of the century. I was facinated by the different social customs, and the different writing style. Patty's Social Season or any of the Patty books would be a delight for a young girl who is a budding bibliophile!
