My dear friend loaned me a copy of this book many years ago. I hoped that with "alibris " I would find it and was delighted that I now have even an extra copy to loan to friends.
I think the book is comforting to those with a frightening illness as well as to the bereaved.

"Intra Muros" is Heavenly
"Intra Muros" by Rebecca Ruter Springer is a comforting and optimistic telling of the author's visions of heaven experienced during a time of extreme illness. The fact that this book is so old (1898) and the style of language used serve to enhance the poetic and refined quality of the stories related. The author herself did not claim to fully understand the experiences she described, and did not fancy herself a Bible scholar, as she wrote in the book. But her joy at being reunited with loved ones lost, her descriptions of the dwellings she saw there and especially the moment when she met "the Beloved Master" were warm, peaceful and filled with sublime happiness.
For Christians of any persuasion, especially those grieving the loss of a loved one, "Intra Muros" is a hopeful and encouraging picture of the heaven we hope for, and a valuable addition to any library.
