One of the best of the Martian tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs, this yarn follows John Carter's daughter Tara across the dying world of Barsoom, where she encounters ancient mummies, headless rykors, and of course finds true love.
Included after the story are the rules to Jetan, Martian chess. I wonder why the Burroughs estate never marketed this game?
