She is sitting alone on her bunk bed in Sydney, pondering her life, hoping for some dramatic change to take her from her studies and work. She hardly expects to be rushed off to a secret Australian IFO base under the Northern Territory to help them operate one of their ships, with the intention of visiting a planet parked near Uranus.
