Honor does what's needed
I like David Weber's writing. People have urged me to read the Honor Harrington series, so I finally started and really enjoy it. This is the second book in the series. Honor is a very real person, definitely not perfect, but darn good at what she does. She is honorable - as her name attests and she does what is right, not what is easy. I like that.
All of the characters are portrayed as real people - some worse than others, of course. I don't see any as caricatures, but you know who the villains are. I like the naval battles in space - the technology seems natural and the explanations are brief but understandable.
The right wins at the end, but the price can be high, and you leave knowing more trouble is to come. I did enjoy this book.
