If you are a fan of Parker, you will love this book. Kept me hooked all the way to the end. Great side characters, too. Parker never overdoes the plot and keeps the pace up to the final showdown between two former friends who have gone in completely different directions. Well worth the read.

His story unfolds midst the scent of orange blossoms and the silvery leaves of avocado trees glistening in the moonlight. He is protecting a weather forecaster who happens to be not only the descendant of the man who years ago made it rain in San Diego, she is beautiful, single an sexy. So much so, the City of San Diego wouldn't pay him. But his descendant found his secret and his equipment. Now she is in danger from the Water Dept. themselves, plus Matt's old high school chum who is still running the underground battle with his gangs. Mystery and intrigue in a beautiful setting.
