W.E.B Griffin's books grab you on the first page and don't let go. Battleground is the fourth book in a series written about the marine corp from his very special point of view. This book is historical fiction that I would recommend to anyone interested in the inner workings of the corp and the government in that period. The language of the book can be "colorful", but it is written about men involved in a life and death struggle. Griffin's characters come to life on these pages. Reading his books makes you hunger for more
