When editors start getting killed in spectacular ways at the "New York Globe", it is a reflection of the slow death of the newspaper industry itself. John Darnton mines his decades of experience at the New York Times to recount hilarious anecdotes about the dysfunction between reporters and editors, business execs and news gatherers, and between print and web. The mystery's solution, while fair, is a tad underwhelming, but the ride is well worth it for the "inside baseball" alone.

Black & White and "Read" All Over
After reading all of Darnton's books, I find this book to be a different twist to his writing style...but not in a bad way. Definitely a work of art, as usual. If you like suspense, drama, and mystery lurking around every corner; then you will like this book. A great read!
