The Prophet of Yonwood
This book was very different from the two preceeding it. It gives background that makes you think that you will end up a lot closer to Ember by the end of it than you do. It does explain some things which are already pretty obvious from reading Ember and Sparks, but it is interesting to meet the author of the journal found by Lina, Doon, and Poppy. It was somewhat sidetracked by the summer goals Nickie lays out for herself. They don't seem to add much to the story or be a very effective vehicle for moving it forward. The story itself holds less appeal than the other two, but it's always fun to read a whole series and get the author's entire message.
