Although this book assists you in relating to all the other Alien Huntress Books, I found it harder to take in the "Big Picture" when reading in the first person. I did not enjoy this book as much as her later ones.
Will I read ALL the books in the series? Sure. I just will put this one near the bottom of the list as a favorite. Gena became exceptional as the series progressed. READ: Extacy in Darkness & Seduce the Darkness to see that I am telling the truth. I still LOVE the series & would recommend her ATLANTIS and LORDS OF THE UNDERWORLD books to anyone who likes loyalty, sexuality, and secrets in their characters. Throw in hot chemestry and you are reading a Showalter book.
