Il continua � �crire pour le th��tre et connut enfin le succ�s gr�ce � la repr�sentation en 1829 de Henri III et sa cour par la Com�die-Fran�aise. Ce succ�s continua pendant toute sa carri�re litt�raire dans ses genres de pr�dilection: le drame, le roman historique et le feuilleton. Ses oeuvres comprennent: Les Trois Mousquetaires (1844), Le Comte de Monte-Cristo (1845-1846) et Le Vicomte de Bragelonne (1848).
