Since then he's the only jockey to have won all four of the home Grand Nationals (in 2004-5 he won three in one season, only narrowly losing the Scottish National by a short head). He has ridden over 1400 winners to date, including 1000 Irish winners, and the Irish jump jockey's title on six occasions. He rides for two powerful stables: Willie Mulllins in Ireland and Paul Nicholls in England (for whom he's won the Cheltenham Gold Cup twice on Kauto Star, having ridden 24 winners at Cheltenham over the years).
