I have several mineral books (being a geologist and all) and I used to own the first edition paperback of this book when I was in school. It was promptly stolen by another student, and rightfully so. The book is well organized and thorough. I've purchased 2 - one for me and one to be "stolen" by my rock-hound nephew.
