Very helpful book
The author guides you through the making of a paper from scratch. He actually uses some sample research results and discusses many options while building the paper. He faces the reader with many alternatives and the option of keeping some information and discarding or moving to another section is very formative. When the paper creation takes shape, he discusses the sections of a paper, and spans many aspects of the paper craft. I recommend it together with Alley's The Craft of Scientific Writing. Springer publishes good books..
