I am enthralled by the well-written prose that tells a compelling story of the Long March from the vantage point of the foot soldiers and bystanders whose voices are not heard in the famiuliar hagiographies. There is much fog and fabricated legend peeled back in this telling of the story of the Long March, and one comes away amazed. Beautifully done!
