Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

If one wishes to understand how our Holy Bible came to us, "How We Got Our Bible" by J. Paterson Smyth is the best I have encountered. I teach seminary classes and have read many books on this subject, but find myself returning to Smyth over and over. He begins with the lost ancient manuscripts and traces the path of the English Bible through the Vulgate to the Revised Standard Version. Every pastor, evangelist, teacher, and Bible student should have this small book (153 pages) in his or her library.
