Romance of Sorcery was the only non-fiction work written by Sax Rohmer, famed author of the Fu Manchu book series. Initially published in 1914, this book is hard to find in its earlier editions. It is a scholarly series of biographical sketches of many of the most famous figures in the history of the occult and metaphysical: John Dee, Count Cagliostro, Count de Saint Germain, Madame Blavatsky and Nostrodamus, among others. It is an absorbing and literate work which illustrates that at a young age Rohmer, AKA Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, had studied deeply of the arcane. This is a recommended volume for serious students of such matters.
