The book presents a vision of a future society that is based on democratic principles, social justice, and equality. Carpenter argues that the current social and economic systems are unjust and unsustainable, and that a new system based on cooperation and mutual aid is needed. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the nature of democracy, the role of the individual in society, the importance of education, and the need for social and economic reform. Carpenter draws on a variety of sources, including Eastern philosophy, Christian mysticism, and socialist theory, to support his arguments. Carpenter himself, loosely compares this work to Leaves of Grass. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
