History of an area is always so interesting. He was a great writer and his adventures lead him all over Alaska. He enjoyed meeting the people and learning all about them. Not to mention his very descriptions of the areas he was traveling in. Excellent book.

nature at its best
anyone that enjoys the outdoors and all of nature to behold will find the descriptions of the serene beauty
of Alaska and discoveries amazing. The totem pole story alone is worth the price of the book.
