He co-founded the international Tree of Peace Society. The purpose of this book is to honor American Indian basketmakers and to provide a useful reference guide for collectors, museums, cultural centers, schools, libraries, and gallery owners. This volume profiles over 1, 500 American Indian basketmakers over the past two centuries from the Southwest, Great Basin and California. This book was created with the cooperation of American Indian artists.
