Seriously, rightwingers, Joe the Plumber? I mean, is this a joke? Joe the Plumber gets a book?! Do you guys have any standards at all? There is someone in a chatroom who calls Obama, "bunghole", does she get to write a book also?
Joe writes, "If you think he [Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad] should be able to step up to the United Nations podium ... and rail against the country that has graciously given him a stage, then are you really interested in protecting our freedoms?" Um, there are so many things wrong with this statement. So many. First, the United Nations is headquartered in the US but that does not mean, nor it should, that we should ban voices we disagree with as Sean Hannity mutes callers who makes him look bad on his radio show. Trust me on that one, he has done it to me personally when I've exposed his hypocrisy.
Anyway, how does allowing the leader of Iran hinder my freedom in anyway? Um, it doesn't. Ok, how does allowing him to speak, mean I am not interested in protecting my freedom? Gosh if I know. I wonder if Joey is drunk when he writes those words. Again, seriously rightwing, this is your spokesman? Someone who gave Joey a 5 star review wrote, "He's angry, vicious, ignorant, and intellectually incurious." Wow, and that to the reviewer was a good thing! Yeah, he doesn't know a damn thing and doesn't want to learn but let's have him write a book!" Joey as a war correspondent in the region of Israel stated about the media reporting on war, "And the media should be abolished from, ah, you know, covering.". This man actually believes that the purpose of the media is to cheerlead for a nation's elite and politicians when it comes to war. I never thought the rightiwng would give this idiot a book deal, but they did.
