Serious crazyquilters, take note!
As a crazyquilt maker who has just retired from a twenty-year career as teacher, pattern designer, lecturer, and best-selling author (for TREASURY OF CRAZYQUILT STITCHES, AQS/I999), I must recommend this legendary "little brown book" to everyone who does not yet own it. This is the very book whose many genuine, antique stitchery designs for the seams of modern quilts started me on my way to understanding how these wonderful combinations of simple embroidery stitches were composed. Mrs. Bond documents 1,052 different examples from old quilts of her acquaintance, hand drawing them in their correct sizes and organizing them into twenty-two categories. +++ This book is about 6.5 inches square, has a plastic "comb" binding, and is 104 pages long. Ten stars!!! (miss carole samples)
