This book is exactly as the synopsis describes, but it moves at a slower pace. Something to be read when one is in the mood to ponder a bit and reflect on what the characters are thinking and feeling, so in other words, it is not a fast paced thriller by any stretch, but it is still a satisfying read when one wishes to read for sheer pleasure and time isn't an issue. There are some remarkably profound and down right funny scenes and passeges in this book. I'll take a chance and read the next one.
