I must admit, I have not read any other books on collecting Noritake, so I'm not in a positon to compare this book to other resource materials out there. Having said that, I have found this book to be a valuable resource. I saw a $3,000 piece of Noritake on the Antiques Road Show on PBS, and thought it was spectacular. The appraiser said that Noritake was widely collected, and that some pieces could be had for five to ten dollars. I quickly went on ebay, and started looking at examples. Having always considered myself to be a manly man, I was somewhat surprized at how much interest I had in early 1900's Noritake. With the help of this book, I have been able to identify several pieces, and now have a modest, but attractive collection.
