My grandson enjoyed this very much. Reported on it for school English class.

It's not just about chocolates.
The Chocolate War takes the reader back to school days, (if they are not already in school) and its narrator, Jerry is dealing with many issues inclunding a recent death in the family and growing up. When his school starts a chocolate sale, Jerry becomes an outsider by what he does. This book is a favorite of mine, the writing see-saws between the fantasy thinking of a young boy and his dark reality. This book is definitely one for everyone to enjoy!
