Fine in Near Fine jacket. First edition. Fine in slightly age-toned, near fine dustwrapper with tiny tears. Debuted on stage in 1942 at the Baltimore Theatre starring Effie Afton, Michael Ames, and Shirley Booth. Nicely Inscribed by both authors: "To Larry: we'll write 'em, if you have the heart to sell 'em. Joseph Fields, Jerry Chodorov." Presumably the recipient was either an agent or a bookseller. Basis for 1942 film directed by Alexander Hall, and featuring Rosalind Russell and Brian Aherne, as well as the 1955 film directed by Richard Quine, and featuring Janet Leigh and Jack Lemmon.
