I teach a "Birds, Bats and Bugs" class to 3rd - 5th graders. Everyone does a bird report and one child brought this book in with her report. All the kids loved it and wanted to hear what "their" bird would sound like. They were also surprised and pleased to recognize the calls of local birds. I had to purchase the book so I would have a copy for next year and, truth to tell, I've been enjoying it just my own self!
