The Berenstein Bears book are always great for teaching lessons to kids. This is perfect for young kids and though it deals with a scary topic the book is not frightening. There is a scene with Momma Bear and Sister Bear cutting up apples. Momma Bear's speach about not being able to knoew a person by looking at him/her is great advice for young and old.
