My husband and I worked through this book at the same time. The book guides the reader to determining what type of work is most compelling. Then, and this is the really cool part, it has you create a vision statement. This is the part where you examine how you want work to flow through your life. For myself, I realized that any work which enriched the lives of families in my local community would lead to job satisfaction. Then, through the vision statement, I realized that I am the type of person who needs alot of interaction with people and flexibility in work hours. Armed with that information, I started a small business and after several years of that, I easily located a job which appreciates my skills and matches my mission and vision statement. MY employers enjoy knowing that I am 'on a mission' with my job and I enjoy coming to work each day and being able to leave work when I need to. Win-Win situation. Before reading this book, seeking jobs was a blind effort and staying at jobs was less compelling because I wasn't as satisfied..
