Ester Ried's days were an endless monotony of making beds, baking pies, ironing, and racing against the clock to get tea on the table for the boarders. Every evening she fell into bed, too weary even for prayers. As she nursed her suffering soul, she snapped at her sisters and brother, just adding to the suffering. Then a letter arrived from a well-to-do cousin in New York City - and things began to happen. Available only in Christian Fiction 8.

I have read ?Ester Ried? several times and like it better each time as I am encouraged anew to fulfill each task as for Christ. Ester is not a pious, angelic girl who is nearly perfect. She is just a normal girl with everyday experiences which I?m sure most of us can relate to, tough the book was written in the 1800?s. I highly recommend any book written by ?Pansy!?
