A fabulous lost Amazon city containing a rare red diamond. It sounded like a myth, but archaeologist Jillian Sherwood was willing to put up with anything to look for it--even Ben Lewis, ruffian, knock-about, and number-one river guide in Brazil. Another sensuous and spellbinding romance from "an incredibly talented writer" (Affaire de Coeur).

I absolutely loved this story. This book sets in an exotic location and offers an exotic plot. Not a run of the mill hero/heroine story with detectives or cia to fill the plot. He is an average (well, okay not average) dude with extra ordinary sexiness. She is on a mission to clear the family name. This is not just a story about a treasure and treasure seekers. This is a story about honor and dishonor. This is a story about a man who is an unlikely hero. The twist in the plot to show his human qualities add to his appeal. Another story where the hero is tarnished and human while still striving to be better is a great asset to the story. The heroine is tough in her own right and adds to the strength of the story with her determindness. Her unfailing sight on the high road is a pleasure to unfold as a reader. The twist is a surprise that one does not expect when watching a flawed man recoup his senses for his love and purpose in the end.
