Great Book about US China Policy
James Mann, The China Fantasy ? Review, May 23, 2007
This book is currently the best book on U.S. China policy and the best book out there on providing an accurate and real perspective on the current conditions of Human Right, Civil Rights and Political Rights in China. It also does a very good job of debunking the current U.S. policy position that with free and open capitalistic systems in place in China democratic principals, human rights, religious rights and civil rights will come about and prevail in China. James Mann is a well-credentialed journalist on China and the U.S. Chinese policy and provides an accurate picture on what is happening in China and Washington D.C.
This posting is from the perspective of an American who has worked and lived in China and believes that the Chinese people have a right to these freedoms that we take so casually here in the U.S. and that if the Chinese people gain these rights and freedoms it will provide both a economic and security benefit to the U.S.
