Review--The Naked Sun
Asimov very rarely disappoints and The Naked Sun is no different. What I find most enjoyable about Asimov's works and The Naked Sun specifically is the always intriguing clash between conflicting ideologies. As a mystery/scifi thriller, The Naked Sun is quite fun but what makes it great is the incredible depth Asimov gives to the characters and societies. Anyone who has read the Foundation trilogy will know that Asimov writes psychologically deep stories. The Naked Sun, similar to Caves of Steel, allows us to peer into the mind of Lije and into the collective mind of the Solarians. The one complaint I have is that I felt that Daneel was developed less than I would have hoped.
