A sample application of COLDSPA is presented at the beginning of each chapter's Nursing History section, and another accompanies each case study. The book is written in a very simple language.Focus is on practice, with a very reasonable intro to anatomy and physiology.Good explanation of origin of clinical signs and symptoms.
I like that there are some cultural differences discussed as well.

Great book
This book was the exact book I needed for my Assessment class, and I got it from Alibris for way cheaper than my campus bookstore. The copy I bought was new and the cd-rom was included. However, the cd-rom is not needed.
