Both the story and the glowing illustrations are the most enlightening story of the real Christmas spirit. Perfect for a Sunday school lesson or a lesson about mankind. Shows that a child can see the good in all and cares most about the real meaning of Christmas. Would be important in this decade to be reminded that good people can be out of work and need our understanding!!

Great Joy
A truly touching book about a young girl who first realizes that some people don't have a place to go to at night. While the girl brings joy to the homeless man and his pet monkey, I had to fight to keep the tears back as I read this to a group of children. The author does not attempt to solve all the man's problems in this thin picture book, but the readers get to see the impact of one act of kindness on this poor man.
