For anyone wondering about Freemasonry or thinking about becoming a Brother in the oldest practicing men's fraternity in the world this is a superb starting point. It removes sometimes unsettling mysteries without revealing any of the secrets. The book is organized in short two or three well illustrated sections summarizing various aspects of Freemasonry such as origins. objectives, rituals, architexture, symbols, etc. Though not a thick book it is a great summary starting point for anyone interested in delving further into studying the "craft" or understanding what it means to be a Freemason. Perhaps the most important point is that one is never recruited into Freemasonry. One must be seeking knowledge and must ask a Mason what Freemasonry means and how to become a member.
