Excellent historical fiction by Christian Cameron. The characters were believable, and well-rounded. The depiction of the violence of combat in the ancient world plausible and harrowing, as was the characterization of daily life in ancient times. Magnificent. Could not put it down.

Well written. Action packed and realistic. Read (2) of the books in series so far they were great if you like historical fiction.
