Somebody is destroying the innocence of Minack, using the cliff meadows where Derek and Jeannie once grew daffodils, to grow cannibis. Enraged, Derek notifies the police and the CID to come to investigate. This autobiography tells two stories. One unravels the contents of "The Confusion Room". The other is a story of suspense: the hunt for the culprit, vandalizing the meadows which Derek and Jeannie nurtured and loved.
