I haven't actually finished this, but a quarter of the way through it is still focused more on the making of a novel than a real storyline. For would-be authors who want some insight into publishing seen through the fictional eyes of an author's life, it's okay, but the setting (rural Dutch Pennsylvania) is so far not enough condiment to make the main dish popularly palatable. The cover blurbs promise more, though, (ie, "riveting") so we'll see.
