I came across this author completely by accident- and am captivated. Have grabbed all 5 books in the series, - its worth reading 'The Messenger of Athens' as the first one though, to get the flavour and continuity, so I wont spoil things by talking about this one in particular. Sadly the author is no longer alive, but her books are ones I will keep as a set and re-read- not something I can say about many modern authors.
