Critical Mass introduces us to the many players in this action story chapter by chapter. Gradually these characters start to interact as we learn about the nuclear bombs that have been stolen from a post cold war Russia and are being conveyed to a US city for detonation. Interest heightens as more of the plot unfolds culminating in a dramatic last second effort to disarm the device. I found this book slow going at the beginning but eventually it captured my interest. In fact, I was hoping to find a sequel by Mr. Martini but it appears that one has yet to be written.
