Similar to author's other books
I had just finished listening to "Sweetwater Creek" on tape. I found this two books really similar- young girl being raised by Father is befriended by older female role model. Child learns a lot but is disappointed by the mentor's leaving her without notice. I liked Sweetwater Creek better, and was disappointed that the two were so similar.
