Seller's Description:
N-Fine in N-Fine jacket. Book A square tight solid clean un-opened un-read copy. This copy has several smallish light stains to the top edge of the text block and two light corner bumps. The £2.00 net pictorial jacket has some very light rubbing wear else fine. The author's 4th novel and the basis for the Nicole Kidman re-make of the movie originally released in the early 70s starring Katherine Ross and Paula Prentiss. The remake was played for laughs, the book is a tad more scary then that. A very nice copy that belongs in someone's collection. First British Edition preceded by the Random edition. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY.
I saw the movie first... probably a mistake considering the book is a classic. I thought the book was great - I really enjoyed reading it, I readily turned the page to see what would happen next... the plot was thickening and suspense building... and then... it ended. What happened at the end? What was happening to the women? Did it have something to do with the tape-recorder? I have no idea and I don't think I will ever know for sure.

No Hidden Messages
I read this book mainly to find out what the author was trying to say. Was this book a cry out to woman to liberate themselves or was it propaganda telling them their place was in the home? After seeing the original movie version many times I was confused, so I decided finally to read the book to pick up on any hidden clues or messages. I could find none. Instead I found an intresting book with a head scratcher of a closing. Though I would not recommend this to a friend because I doubt that they would enjoy it, I did.

Dark
This is such a dark and twisted book that most readers will fall in love. A few women notice how strange the wives of Stepford act and seek to prevent themselves from losing their idenity. This is a highly feminist novel. Comic, dramatic, and above all scary this book has all the genres rolled into one unstopable classic.
