"Prospect" is the third of Anne Truitt's artist's journals. She had turned 70 and is looking back at life and sharing her life experiences as a divorced then widowed single Mom, as well as what she is experiencing at this age, ie, mandatory retirement. Her writing is captivating for any art minded person. I am a sculptor and especially enjoyed reading about her experiences making her pieces - and marketing them. She apparently is of sculptor of a level of stature that she has work in larger museums and galleries, though her work seems not to sell readily - especially when she really needs the money. I couldn't put it down and got all three of her books, walking with her through the earlier parts of here life. It was also especially interesting to me as I had just turned 70 and faced some of the same issues.
