Poetry is not my favorite thing. But every once in a while my personal writing comes out as poetry, especially the rhyming type. I am trying to appreciate non-rhyming poetry and must admit I struggle with it. Ms. Slater's talent is unquestionable and I think she is teaching me in this small tome to like her more. I am also interested in supporting Michigan authors.
